My life finally got cool.

That's why I haven't been here much. I know, excuses, excuses. I'm pretty sure I lost my pretty much non-existent readership I had anyways from not posting for so long so I don't think it matters. Anyways, updates, yes?

- Why is it still fucking hot? Where is my fall weather? Hurry the fuck up.
- Chocolate stout is not as good as I expected and this makes me sad.
- I'm learning Spanish and I am proud of that fact.
- Friends are coming up from Alabama, maybe they will decide DC is the place to be. Then life would be even cooler!
- My boyfriend makes me food all the time and then gets slightly offended when I don't try it immediately, and I constantly run out of beer. These are my problems you guys.
- High definition TVs ARE everything they're cracked up to be.
- I enjoy Chinatown so much more when intoxicated.

Alright, movie reviews? It's been a while!

The Social Network:
Otherwise known as the Facebook movie. I thought this would be an alright movie and I was completely wrong. It was an awesome movie. I know everyone's like "Blah, blah, blah, it defines our generation", but it DOES. How do I know this? Well, I updated Facebook while I was watching it. How's that for a definition. If I have children and they have grandchildren, and those grandchildren ask me what life was like when I was young, I will more than likely just have them watch this movie. The acting was pretty wonderful in my opinion (except Timberlake, I just don't care for him), and the cinematography was awesome. My favorite scene regarding that aspect was the rowboat race scene where it looks to me like they used a tilt-shift lens to film it. I don't know much about that stuff, but that is what it looked like and it was pretty beautiful. Another great thing, was that the movie was dramatic, and also seriously funny. I really enjoyed it, go see it now!

I give it five out of five.

It's Kind of a Funny Story:
I love Zach Galifianakis and he was probably the main reason I wanted to see this movie. It was decent, a cute story, a little sappy and a little too teenage drama filled for my liking. Also, since when is Vampire Weekend mentioned in movies? I swear hipsters are taking over our culture, completely. The main thing I liked about this movie was the artistic perspective dealing with the main characters drawings and how he thought of his art. It was different and pretty interesting.

I give it three out of five.

Adios you fine people, I'll talk to you next month probably. Or maybe not. I don't know. I plan on getting into some shenanigans this weekend, so I may have some good writing material then. Who knows.

Haven't posted in forever, why not do it intoxicated!?!?

Soooooooooo......

I'm drunk (SHHHHHH), and hanging out with three of my best friends, Jessica, Robby, & Shawn. A random thought came to me just now and I decided, why not blog about it?

WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE POST PICTURES OF THEMSELVES ON FACEBOOK AND MYSPACE SITTING ON THE GOD DAMN TOILET!?!?!

I mean, why? Just... Why? Yes, we know you piss and shit just like everyone else in the world, but why in the fuck would you want to show everyone that? It just makes no sense to me, along the lines of God making no sense to me. I know this is completely fucking random, but these are the things I think about. Sooo there's that.

What's been going on in the blogosphere? I'm incredibly behind on everything, ever. I myself am STILL stuck in the hellhole I call Alabama, much to my dismay. If I don't make it up to DC soon suicide may be an option. It's hot here, there's oil everywhere, Christians keep yelling at me for liking Obama. I need to get the fuck out of here.

As for what's going on in my life, um, here's the breakdown:

GOOD:
I was lucky enough to find the best guy in the world and he's now my perfect boyfriend! Inorite!? Who would've guessed right?

BAD:
Everything else.

Happy reading.

Could a party with ALL of my friends even work?

I want to have a going away party, and I want to invite all of my friends! The problem is, I hang out with different people, and if I really do that, it could potentially be as awkward as this:

Okay, that's a little too far, maybe this situation would fit the awkward feeling more:

Yeah...

I just don't know if all of my friends would get along. First of all, the age difference. I normally hang out with people between the ages of 18-24, but if I invited all of my friends, it'd probably be more like 16-26, with the occasional 15 & 34 year old.

So many different groups would be represented...

The married people.
Whether or not they are actually married, you know who these couples are. They always stick together, and while they may be fun to hang out with, sometimes inviting them to a balls-out-holy-fuck-shit-drunk-omg party may prove boring for them.

The metal kids.
They have a lot of tattoos and piercings, and many times have no money or vehicles in which to transport themselves (personal experience people!), and while the ones I hang out with are extremely intelligent, funny, and top of the barrel artists, some kids may find them scary and intimidating.

The preppy kids.
These are the kids who probably wouldn't know what to do with the metal kids. They would bring a lot of alcohol, and they would probably know how to party the best due to them spending most of their high school/college years doing just that, but they can be snobby (you know it's true), and it would piss everyone else off.

The nerds.
Actually a lot of nerds I hang out with are pretty hot, and not socially awkward, but they still tend to get into hour long discussions about hacking and World of Warcraft, and while I myself may enjoy these thoughtful insights, it can throw others off.

The hipsters.
They'd supply good music, plenty of Pabst Blue Ribbon, and they'd all be dressed fine as hell. I think everyone else would be ashamed, actually.

The gays.
They would wonder why there's so many fucking straight people at the party and leave. There goes the chance of anything really interesting happening during the night.

The intellectuals.
They would sit in a corner and talk amongst themselves and make fun of everyone else at the party (AHEM, Cameron and Sean!), and while this might be incredibly entertaining to me, it probably wouldn't be to others. Especially the snobby preppy kids.

The atheists.
They'd piss off all the religious preppy kids.

The Christians.
They'd piss off all the nerds and metal kids.

The kids who don't fit anything else.
That person who hacks computers, listens to hardcore rap, metal, and techno, dresses quite well (almost preppy/hipster combo like), has a lot of tattoos, can talk to intellectuals or retards, and is also bisexual (that person is out there and when I find him/her, he/she will be my best friend).

And then...

The drunk bitch.
There's one at every party, and with this many options, there's no telling what said drunk bitch of the night would conjure up.

Good idea? One can't know until they attempt it...

ATTN FRIENDS: Yes, it's based off all of you, and oh my gawd, if you get offended by this joke, you're no longer invited.

Oh Nashville, you are quite entertaining.

I'm writing to you from Nashville, TN. Second day of my stay here, I will be sadly returning home tomorrow. We had a crazy party last night and I danced to a ridiculous amount of techno music, and drank a ridiculous amount of Pabst Blue Ribbon. I do believe I was bitten multiple times and I was also coaxed into kissing a girl apparently. I was drawn on and my knuckles say "SOFTBALL". It was a night full of random awesome-ness. Amazing to say the least.

While here I've been introduced to this video. Apparently Dan Deacon is sitting in a closet tripping on acid and saying all this stuff, but further research says he wasn't. Regardless, it is fucking hilarious.

The weather up here is amazing (in my opinion). It's been around 45-50 F the entire time. I was able to wear my favorite plaid button up! According to friends back home the weather has gotten far more tolerable in the deep south, but knowing my luck it will go right back to being hot when I return tomorrow. Hopefully not.

On another note, one can truly realize how much they hate Alabama when made to drive through it's entirety.

We are currently playing Star Wars monopoly and there is Asian porn (from the fucking 80s VHS style) playing in the background on a huge television. Cause I mean what else should one play in the background! The acting and music choice is so incredibly horrible it is actually very funny. You know you wish you were here too! Right!?

Anyways, I'm going to stop being unsocial, and I do hope everyone else is having such a great weekend as I am!

Totally makes me want to go to Vegas.

The Hangover:
Let me first say, you have to be somewhat immature to enjoy this movie. Let me now say, that I fit the bill for that, so I enjoyed the hell out of it. It's not realistic, not one bit, but that doesn't matter because it is funny. Slamming a baby's head into a car door is funny (when it's not real of course). Waking up to a tiger in your bathroom is funny (when it's not real of course). Marrying a stripper when you're drunk in Las Vegas is funny (when it's not real of course). So if you are immature in the least bit, please go see it. If you're someone who is serious and doesn't drink (ie. boring), then maybe you should pass.

I give it four out of five.

I hate when this happens.

I'm blank! Completely blank! All day I've been thinking of all the things I wanted to write about tonight. I had some good shit (seriously, I'm not joking), but now it's all gone. I can't remember any of it. I just reheated Chinese food and ate that to see if the Asian magic would refresh my memory, but that didn't work either.

So I guess I'm just going to recap what's been going on lately, and hope something comical comes out of it. Pre-warning, this is probably going to be a shitty post.

Last night we celebrated my friend's 18th birthday. Yes, so young. Though I can't really say anything, since I'm only a year and a half older. Anyways, we had some good times, it was a great evening. The picture above is of Dustin (Asian birthday boy with the big ears) and Cameron (read him at CzarSheehan) drinking the night away. Mikee and Mat were also in attendance. So was Cameron's brother, but he plays video games so consistently it never quite feels like he's actually there if you get what I mean.

Anywho, Mikee, Cameron, and Dustin, fit together like bread, peanut butter, and jelly. They all have the same humor (which I find hilarious and others would not understand at all) and when they get together they constantly bounce jokes off one another, for ever. It's like a comedy triangle. It is perfect, and a highlight of my life. I haven't laughed as much as I did last night in a while.

So yeah, that party was the reason for my shit day today. I had to take Dustin & Mikee all the way back to Mobile (hour drive there, hour drive back), and then go to work, and let me tell you! Caitlin was not feeling so hot. I slept curled in a ball on Cameron's couch and the resulting neck cramp was of great annoyance, plus I was slightly hungover. I bitched out at work, and got someone to cover for me. So now I'm home early and everyone, EVERYONE, decided to invite me out on the one night I just want to sleep. Of course. That's always what happens. The night that I'm so hyper I resemble a crack head, have tons of cash, and no work the next day, everyone will either be sleeping, out of town, or dead or something. As my mother says, Murphy's Law.

On to more boring stuff, yesterday Jessica (my very best friend ever) got her first tattoo, courtesy of my tattoo artist also, CW of Royal Street Tattoo. It is very pretty and I was an idiot and forgot to take a picture of the finished product but I do have this.

It was nice watching someone else go through so much pain. I'm usually the one under the needle, never have I been in the other chair, watching the madness. It was a nice break. Next week the break's over and I'm back to pain. I can't wait for my sleeve to be finished!

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! I BEAT WAL-MART'S FUCKING ASS.
Yeah, next week I get an upgrade to nicer tires for free (brand new Goodyears), a set of locking lug-nuts, and a little cash back for my troubles. I don't feel bad since Wal-Mart could easily pay for my entire life. I'm glad I got them back. Maybe next time they won't be such idiots.

Alright, randomness, since I don't know what else to do:

- Was driving on the interstate today and caught the travel bug that easily. I want to go go go! Something about just being on those highways with trees on both sides going 80 mph gets me so antsy. I absolutely love traveling via car. Pulling off the interstate to go home today was a shitty moment. I wanted to just keep going.

- I have been coughing horribly for the last few days and I want to rip my throat out. How come everyone else gets to stay home when they don't feel so hot but I soldier through as if nothing is different? Maybe because I'm broke and they can afford to stay home. We'll go with that.

- I live with too many people (just so you know), and one of them has a little Boston Terrier named Boo (why!?). Well I have a one year old 10lb Lion King cat named Kokoro. Kokoro was raised by my German Shepherd and myself, so he grew up loving dogs. He plays and sleeps with my big dog constantly, has never had any problems with new dogs (plays with most of them too), and he's pretty much the greatest cat ever. Even so, for some unknown reason, Kokoro hates the shit out of Boo. Either he hates him or has decided Boo is actually a mini impala meant to die for his pleasure. Kokoro doesn't hiss at him or growl at him, he stalks him, charges him, slaps him, terrorizes him, and the other day he tackled Boo, pinned him on the ground, and just started whacking the shit out of him. He was in such a frenzy he bit my Mom when she picked him up and he never does stuff like that. So yeah, they have to stay separated now. I feel sorry for Boo, he's fucking terrified and he did nothing to deserve this. At least my cat can beat the shit out of a dog. I hope you don't get the impression that he is crazy, because he isn't. He's sweet and kind, and very non cat like.

- I just wrote a full paragraph about my cat. Number one sign this post is going to shit!

- I took some pictures the other day. I'm trying to get back into photography but I don't ever want to explore this little town and that is 75% of my problem. The other 25% being I have a camera that doesn't even have a setting to set the shutter speed. It's so crappy. I got these two the other night though:

- A random mob of hyperactive teenage girls attacked me in April, when I was in Chinatown in DC, because I had a camera and they wanted their fucking pictures, like now. So I took pictures of them (well, was rather forced into it) and the girl snatched my phone and typed in her email (you have no idea how forceful she was) and asked me to send them to her. I just got around to it, two days ago. This should give you an idea of my procrastination problem. April!? Here is one of them:

- I just can't think of anything I actually wanted to write about so I'm ending this. Maybe after I get some sleep I'll actually remember something. Before you go, an acting lesson from Keanu Reeves, courtesy of Comixed.

One hell of a Saturday night.

Gulf Shores is boring, to say the least. Usually I sit at home on my laptop, bitching about this town's lack of excitement. Even so, I ventured out on Saturday night, and when I say I had a good time, I mean, a fucking good time.

First let me go over one thing.

I have fallen deeply for these cans of beer. Never drank them until this weekend (I know right? How?!), but oh em gee, PBR is now my beer of choice.

Back to the recap of Saturday night. I got off work early and was planning on doing nothing as usual. Then Caitlin Fountain, long time best friend and co-conspirator in mischief, sends me a text, asking me to please come to Bailey Calloway's 21st birthday bash. I was all like "Heck yeah!" about it, and after spending two hours getting ready (because my Mother hides articles of my clothing and then forgets where she put them), headed over to the partay. I have to say, their house (Bailey's and his family) is amazing! It's like a museum for hippies, two streets over from the beach. There was a DJ there, playing some pretty awesome music, tons of people, and tons of beer (and yes, PBRs!). Also, a shitload of amazing food, and I was sad that I had already eaten before the partay. Caitlin and I ran around talking to everyone, taking pictures, dancing (horribly), and just having a good time. Natasha was there too, and she's one of my favorites, when it comes to friends, so that was like the icing on the cake. I saw tons of people I haven't seen in years, it was sort of like a reunion.

Once the partay died down, Natasha and I headed to her apartment (so she could change) and then to The Coffee Merchant. There were lots of awesome people there, and we had some interesting discussions with the locals (none of which were too rednecky thankfully). Natasha and I also baffled them with our rubix cube skills. Travis met us there too! He drove from Fairhope (I hate that drive) so that made everything even better! Eventually the Coffee Merchant closed so we had to leave, we hung out at Natasha's for a while, then went home to sleep.

It was great, I feel like I've restored my social life a bit. Thanks to Caitlin for texting me and inviting me!

I do have to say though, that once again I remembered why I do NOT drink liquor. Matt made some drinks that contained maybe three different kinds? It totally sent me over the "you're coherent, now you're not so coherent" line. Beer, beer, beer, no liquor!

I hope everyone else had a fantastic weekend as well.

Our weekend in Atlanta.

It was soooo much fun. Here's a brief description of our journey.

Drank the whole way up there. Well Mat didn't because he was driving, but Robby, Cameron, and I did. The air conditioner started leaking and flooded the car so it got pretty hot for a while and we ran into some serious storms as well, but it was still a fun ride.

Got to our hotel. Haha, now see they gave me the job of finding a cheap hotel near Six Flags Over Georgia. So I got a Super 8 for $50 per night. I warned them it would be shitty. Turns out it exceeded my imagination. The room wasn't bad, but the hotel was in the middle of like four big strip clubs. The whole place was covered in hookers and drug dealers. It was like watching a different species on the Discovery Channel. One of them offered Robby crack, and a hooker offered Cameron a blowjob for $8.. No, we refused all offers, haha. Anyways, we drank some more, walked around, then passed out.

Saturday we got up rather early and headed to Six Flags. When we got there we decided to spend $94 extra on the admission for the "Flash Pass". The $94 covered all four of us and it was well worth it. I won't ever go to a park and not buy that. Instead of waiting in sweltering lines for 2 1/2 hours we skipped everyone! We rode every single rollercoaster pretty much, the most notable of the two being the Goliath, a badass rollercoaster with two 17 story drops and also a 17 story freefall ride that made me tingle with adrenaline for 5 minutes afterwards. I couldn't even scream on the way down because I couldn't get air out of my lungs. Six Flags was a fucking blast needless to say. Even getting soaked during "rafting" was fun.

When the park finally closed we headed back to the hotel and started drinking again. Around 2am we finally headed to downtown Atlanta.. It definitely failed to meet my expectations. What a shitty place. We did not talk to one person (other then cops, who blatently ignored that me were minors drinking in public) who did not ask us for something. Robby ended up feeding two people.

So we didn't stay there for long, and went back to the hotel and drank even more. I passed out at some point. Oh and the movie John Q is really good!

We barely dragged ourselves awake in the morning and left the hotel hungover, hot, and completely exhausted. We stopped by Cameron's parents house and that was nice. His parents are awesome. When we made it back to Baldwin County we stopped at Mat's dad's and Robby and I played with a mini goat for like an hour. He was playing with us trying to ram us with his horns. I guess you had to be there but it was hilarious. Then Mat dropped Robby off, then me, I went and hung out with my Mom for a while and then finally passed out.

Over all, it was a fantastic, interesting, crazy weekend. I had a lot of fun with some of my best friends. I'm really sorta sad though because I know Robby has to leave again soon, and it's going to suck even more than the last time. It's so shitty. :(

Well now that I am back to fulltime work with my car I have 40 hours on the schedule which will probably turn into more (which is good, I need the money), so I'm not sure when I'll have time to write in this again but I'll try to keep up with it. I have a lot of shit going on right now so keep your fingers crossed that everything works out.
